Two schools in Globeducate´s Agora International School group in Spain have once again ranked highly in El Mundo´s “100 Best Schools in Spain 2021”.
Agora Sant Cugat achieved fourth overall national position and best private school in Catalonia, once again recognised in the national newspaper´s top five positions. Agora Lledó International School has once again established itself as a school of reference, placed in 58th position out of 100 schools. This classification is based on 27 educational criteria which have been analysed by a team of specialists, they consider aspects related to education, methodology, educational offers and facilities.
The study evaluates more than 9,600 schools from around Spain, making this ranking an important educational reference at a national level and serves as a model for private and charter schools. The Lledó school, which is a member of Globeducate, appears as the only school in the Castellon Province in this ranking, and is the second best in the Valencian Community.
Luis Madrid, Head of School of Agora Lledó International School, and who is also a Representative of the United Nations for the Defence and Promotion of International Educational Values, is not surprised that the school has jumped from the 81st to 58th position, as the school continuously strives to be involved in educational innovation.
The school is also involved in the promotion of the Lledó Healthy Food Project, the incorporation of a programme for gifted students, the organisation of the Youth Leadership Encounter by the International Schools Association (ISA), an international event to work on youth leadership, the Lledó school also has an officially recognised professional Music Conservatory and is involved in the Eco-schools project this year.
“We are the first school in the province to have implemented the International Baccalaureate in the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and we have obtained the best results in the IB in Spain in the last few years, also being recognized as the best private school in the Valencian Community in the Spanish university entrance exams in the last three years”.
