The Globeducate Arts competition 2019 gave students from the age of 5 to 18 across all schools in the group the opportunity to get creative and experimental with their art, writing and poetry. The final selection by each school showcased what immense talent we have in our students.

Students were invited to participate in the competition with artworks in different media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and video – the theme this year was Dreams.

Winning entries are on display in schools this month and we congratulate all who made the effort to take part. The judges were impressed with the standards this year; which made the selection of winners an extremely difficult task  We welcome new schools to the competition who joined the group more recently, such as our TIPS schools in India and our Blyth Academy students in Canada.  A special mention to many of our schools who entered all eight of the competition categories. It truly demonstrates the value our schools place our creative curriculum and the impact that has on the development of our students.

Globeducate Education Director Oanh Crouch said, “As our group of school expands, this Arts competition is an ideal conduit to showcase the unique skills of our students across the many different countries and cultures that make up our global learning community. It is also a Globeducate event that allows for all students of all ages to be able to participate at a school level before entries are selected to represent the schools. The effort, passion and dedication that was expended into these artistic pieces of work was undeniable. This Globeducate event provided students with the opportunity to expressively communicate their original thoughts and ideas. What we saw from the final submissions was an inspiring display of creativity and talent that has been nurtured and supported by our own team of talented teachers.”

The Globeducate network of international schools offers students unique opportunities for true international readiness. Throughout the academic year, Globeducate regularly organises events in which schools from different countries take part. These are unique learning experiences which give an added value to the international preparation of our pupils, making them even more ready for the global world and more respectful towards other cultures.

These international events are a vital part of the global preparation of the students, who acquire a universal and open vision of the world.
