Globeducate schools share a vision to prepare each student to be a global citizen who can shape the world. Our schools  inspire students to be globally minded, to be confident at communicating and interacting with fellow students in other countries and from other cultures, so that when they graduate they are ready to work and socialise, and connect with others, in an increasingly interconnected global community.

Students with a global view will have advantages in the future and, whether students attend our bilingual, international or local schools, they are encouraged to learn new languages and to collaborate with students at other Globeducate schools in different parts of the world.

Ready to take their place

Many schools talk about valuing and promoting global citizenship. Without doubt, Globeducate schools offer the best educational option to help our young people become well-prepared and confident individuals ready to take their place within the international community. We offer linguistic immersion at all of our schools and a wide range of opportunities for international exchanges programmes and visits, a dynamic international events programme and access to expertly taught international curricula such as the International Baccalaureate and the English, Italian, French and Spanish national curricula.

The need to understand and appreciate other cultures, and using language learning as a tool to achieve this, is a current reality that is becoming increasingly important as the pace of globalisation accelerates. A large majority of our schools are bilingual and use English as the main working language alongside the local language of each school. We also offer our students the chance to complement their studies with other languages including French, German, Italian, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Arabic.

Communicating in different languages

Within the international community the key to success is the ability to communicate with people from different cultures and countries in different languages and the sooner a child is exposed to a second or third language, the easier it will be for him or her to learn it. The opportunity to learn several languages from an early age is one of the unique advantages offered by Globeducate schools.

In addition to promoting foreign language in the classroom, Globeducate also brings together students of more than 70 nationalities via a series of exchange programmes, overseas trips and cultural, academic, musical, arts and sporting events. These activities provide a practical forum for our students to use their language skills and to understand the importance of being able to communicate in languages other than their first language. Linguistic immersion allows our pupils to develop excellent language skills in a short period of time and to gain internationally recognised academic qualifications.

Global impact and collaboration

Students also have the opportunity to collaborate through our global partnership with WWF and our work with Eco-Schools, taking part in international summits, competitions and round-table debates, meeting experts in sustainability education and working together to build a better future and shape the world. From Pre-School to graduation, at Globeducate schools, our students learn how important communication is in playing their part in shaping the future and our teachers inspire them to find their voice in this world, to encourage them to understand world events and to challenge ignorance and intolerance.
